Great Northern Market is Manchester Airport’s landmark food hall, bringing the energy and creativity of the North’s street-food scene straight into their terminal 2 departure lounge.

More than just a food destination, Great Northern Market is a buzzing social space designed for all tastes, moments and journeys. Home to six street-style food kitchens, it offers premium food without the fuss of formal dining. Whether you’re grabbing something quick before boarding your flight or settling in to start your journey in style.

With over 470 covers, Great Northern Market is the airport’s largest food and beverage destination to date. Bold interiors, open kitchens and the buzz of the open space reflect the spirit of Manchester itself. 

The market’s distinctive look is brought to life through a collaboration with Sheffield-based visual artist Marcus Method, whose hand-painted full-wall mural and vibrant artwork runs throughout the space, menus and digital experience.

Behind the scenes, Great Northern Market is powered by Northern talent. All menus have been crafted by Manchester-born Executive Chef Amy Tomkinson, working closely with creative partners from across the region to bring real flavour and authenticity to every dish. Collaborations include Manchester favourite Madre, who helped shape the zesty flavours of the La Casita menu, alongside the team behind Yard & Coop, whose influence can be tasted in the bold flavours of Nashville Hot House.

Everything at Great Northern Market is designed to make airport dining stress-free. Guests order directly at the table, allowing time to relax and enjoy great food while the team takes care of the rest, no queues, no rushing, just great hospitality.
